Another first for me. I had never been on a game drive, done the "african wildlife" thing before. Pretty odd for a South African born & bred. But its not my first choice of recreation activities. On the 8th March, I stopped by Killarney for the Day2Night racing event that was happening. A mix of stalls, drags, sound-offs, show & shine, etc.Having been overseas & seeing international motoring events, it takes a bit to impress me. I was generally unimpressed. Except for this biker. I think every photographer at some point wants to make a calendar of their work. Its a great way to advertise their talent. I can't say I've ever wanted to do it (purely as I haven't had the time), but this year it actually just happened from a job I did.Don't worry, next year I'll be releasing a calendar of my work. EPSON & The Cape Orchid Society held their annual show, and this year, held a photographic competition. While I wasn't really after the prizes (what must I do with another printer?), I did have an idea I wanted to try out.Well long story short, I entered (got to try out my idea) & won 1st Prize. While it might not be a completely momentous event for all, I have reached my 2nd day of keeping my blog. Just a bit of history, the first one I ever started, which was a personal one about the usual life, love, and everything else, lasted a whole 14 minutes. The time it took to make my first post. Yep. I was fortunate enough to be invited along to a Classic Vintage Car Rally, which took place from Spier Wine Estate, through to various scenic locations around the Western Cape & Winelands areas.Its absolutely amazing at how pristine these cars are, truly workmanship to the nth degree.

So this shoot was originally for Max Power magazine. Shot in the end of last year, for the Dec Issue. However, with Media24 discontinuing Max Power SA, along with numerous other magazines, there where certain complications. The shoot did go to print, but I never got around to getting my copy, therefore, no tear sheets from this shoot.Be that as it may, it was an enjoyable shoot.

Tall, slim, elegant. Just some of the things I found appealing about Navara. It made my first shoot with her go nice and smoothly.Well, as smoothly as possible.
